Clense your tarot deck and store energy in your new tarot card deck

Clense your new tarot card deck
My last post I wrote about finding a new tarot card deck. The first thing you will want to do with your tarot deck is clense it (not with water, but with the smoke of incense or burning sage). Your intent while you do this is important: you are really clensing at the level of energy. Don’t be thinking about something else while you do this. Close your eyes, and focus your mind and visualize the smoke going through the cards, and taking away with it all of the commercial energy of the store, and other people; release any negativities. At the same, you will picture positive energy going into the cards.
Store energy in your new tarot cards
Your intent is to bless your new tarot deck and/or to attach the tarot deck to yourself (infuse it with your energy). To infuse positive energy into the tarot cards, close your eyes and picture positive energy, perhaps in the form of white light, entering your body through the top of your head. Feel it fill your brain, making you feel great. Then feel it travel down your spine, releasing positive energy all the way down to your heart, and all the way out your toes. Then feel the energy that is coming down from the top of your head traveling from your heart, up to your shoulders, down your arms and out your hands into the cards. Do this for 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
The tarot cards are now infused with positive energy, with a touch of your personal vibration added in. They are ready to be used for a tarot card reading. Do a reading for yourself before you do a reading for anyone else. You really want to infuse the cards with your energy, before you ask the tarot on behalf of someone else. This is not necessary, it is just my practice.
Likewise, most tarot card readers prefer to store their tarot cards in a nice silk scarf, or a wooden box. I prefer the silk scarf, because it is thought by many to protect the energies of the cards.
A simple, quick reading would be a one-card reading. This can be a yes/no question (upright is yes, reversed in no, anywhere in between for circular tarot cards is differing degrees of maybe). A one-card can be more than a one card reading; but, either way, the first thing to do is to calm the mind and focus on the question. If the tarot card reader is asking the tarot on behalf of someone else, s/he will ask the querent to focus on his/her question. I have mentioned before that I do not personally think one-card readings are very accurate because with the tarot, you are usually dealing with energy, energy is always in motion and, as I will discuss some during the next post, the tarot cards interact.
I ask the tarot questions for others here: email tarot card readings
Coming soon: A better quick reading for yourself or to ask the tarot on behalf of others: the seven-day tarot reading. Also, more tarot card layouts and the most popular full layout, the cross or the Celtic cross. Then, I will begin my discussion of my study of the tarot cards themselves.
