The Celtic Cross tarot spread: Tarot card eight, Self-Image

Hello and blessings,

Thanks for your visit.  This website is about how to read tarot cards.  It is written by a tarot card reader, primarily as a resource for tarot card readers.  I write about different tarot card layouts, the meanings of each tarot card, as well as  article about how tarot cards work.  However, I expect that people who regularly receive tarot card readings may find the articles of interest to them as well.  For example, it may help you understand your tarot reading, or be more able to effectively utilize the information you receive from your reading.  Please feel free to comment, or ask questions . .. let me know what you want to read about on the subject of how to ask the tarot.

Tarot Card 8: self image

We have completed the circle part of the Celtic Cross. Now we are ready to place the last four cards in the tarot spread. These four cards are placed in a vertical line, along the right hand side of the reading (but, some readers line these cards up along the left hand side). Although, the tarot reader will place tarot cards 1-8 one-at-a-time, and will discuss each one of those with querent, these last four cards are placed all at once, without stopping to interpret each one. The deck is placed aside.

Tarot card eight is placed in the bottom right hand corner (of an imaginary square drawn around all of the cards). This card represents another aspect of the questioner. This card signifies the querent’s how she views herself. Remember that tarot card one represents the querent; however, card one represents the querent with respect to the issue at hand. This is in contrast to tarot card eight in the Celtic cross tarot layout, which signifies the querent’s overall view of herself (not just how she is relating to this issue). Compare these cards to get more insight to the issue the querent is dealing with right now.
